Fujitsu M2010 First GreenTech Approved Netbook

While other companies launch two to three netbooks at a time, Fujitsu waited patiently to enter this increasingly crowded field. And now the time has come. The Fujitsu M2010 has one of the most vivid and color-rich 10-inch widescreens in the business, and the infinity-symbol design is easy on the eyes, but it isn’t without flaws. I can forgive the 89 percent keyboard, since this netbook is aimed at classrooms and at kids, whose hands are presumably smaller than mine. The $449 (direct) price tag and low battery scores (with its three-cell battery) may be tough sells.

Green credentials are things that the M2010 has plenty of. Netbooks in general can easily meet energy consumption requirements specified by Energy Star, as Intel Atom and VIA Nano processors are very-low-power chips.

Dell Rethinks Della Netbook Marketing

In response to all the widespread web backlash, Dell is finally rethinking their Della marketing strategies. Dell originally launched an advertising campaign for the Della netbooks using references to calorie counting and shopping, and boy did they regret that move. Wonder if the idea-pitcher will be able to get a job anywhere now.

The new line of 10 Inspirion Mini netbooks are now instead being marketed as they should have been in the first place, not just using a video on how to shop for vintage clothing online. Looks like Dell finally got a clue that women might just do more than obsess about their weight and shop.
