Sony Bravia KDL-37S5500 37in LCD TV Review

After an alarming amount of missteps and controversies, Sony finally seems to have hit its flat TV stride with its latest generation of Bravias. Its V5500 and especially W5500 and WE5 series have all impressed us in recent times. But as we take delivery of the first model we've seen from Sony's entry-level S5500 series, we can't help but wonder whether the quality can be sustained at a cheap price point.

Especially as when we said cheap back there, we meant it. For we've found today's KDL-37S5500 review model going for just £618 - a price that really allows Sony to get down and dirty with the ‘volume-led' efforts of traditionally high-value brands like LG and, to some extent, Samsung.

WD My Book World Edition NAS Device

The old adage, "looks can be deceiving," applies very well to the Western Digital My Book World Edition network-attached storage (NAS) device. With its small and simplistic physical design, housed in white plastic, and featuring only a set of white LED status light on its front, this NAS device belies the power, features, and depth of configuration options just hiding beneath its shiny veneer.

Which is not to say that the WD My Book World Edition NAS device isn't simple to use--it is actually one of the easier NAS devices we've worked with. Network storage neophytes should have little trouble getting up and running in no time.

Intel Core i7 CPU Water Block Roundup May 2009

Like always each article needs a small intro to answer some of the usual questions: Why, how, what,... I think you get the picture ( we reviewers know you readers are far smarter than us ) I'm the proud owner of a Nehalem based PC. It allows me to do awesome stuff at tremendous speeds. Nehalem is pure brute force and when overclocked requires a nuclear plant to power it. This goes along with big heat output. More heat than some air coolers can handle.

My computer is being abused daily for benching, folding@home, gaming and loads of other things my girlfriend loathes. Previous rigs of mine were always water-cooled and since I got the Core i7 I saw that some manufacturers didn't really alter the design of their socket 775 coolers. Just another top plate, revised mounting system and (if included) a new back plate made them socket 1366 compatible.

Interested parties who are adding a line or are eligible for a fully discounted upgrade should come equipped with a money clip bearing approximately $200 worth of dead presidents (not including tax) or a credit card with enough cap space to get the job done -- just don't expect any 3G out of the deal. Bold or Curve -- tough choice, isn't it?
