AMD Said to Work on Yukon-Based X-Slim X410 and X610

Having recorded a considerable success with the launch of its thin X-Slim series of portable computer systems, MSI is now expected to further expand its lineup with the launch of two new AMD-based models. According to reports, the upcoming laptops, presumably called X410 and X610, will be powered by AMD's Yukon platform, as opposed to the company's first models, which have been designed on Intel's latest CULV platform. The rumored Athlon Neo-powered X-Slim laptops could debut before the end of this year, according to newer reports.

In a recent article, Fudzilla claims that MSI is working on future models of its latest X-Slim series of portable PCs, which will be designed using one of the newest AMD platforms for ultrathin laptops, dubbed Yukon. Although details are yet to be confirmed, it appears that two of these systems will be dubbed X410 and X610 and will ship with a discrete HD 4330 graphics solution, featuring 512MB of memory.

New York Times: Palm Pre to launch in the first week of June

Guys, guess what? The Palm Pre is really, seriously, totally coming out, like, super soon. How soon? Well the New York Times, one of the most respected newspapers of our age, claims The Smartphone That Saved Palm (despite their denials) is due in the first week of June, which means the countdown to destruction just got a little shorter. Unless the Times is making stuff up. And let's be honest -- at this point, maybe they are. We can say this, however, the Pre is due, and it's due soon, and if we don't see it before WWDC, we'll be pretty surprised. Our call? We've got a sneaking suspicion that all this speculation will be over before you know it. Like, tomorrow.

Dell and VIA to Revolutionize the Server Market

With Intel, the world's largest vendor of computer processors, having received a heavy slap in the face from the EU Commission, Round Rock, Texas-based Dell is said to be planning the unveiling of a new server system that will be powered by a rather interesting choice of VIA Nano processors. The move is expected to provide VIA with a new and considerable market segment, especially considering that Nano processors have been developed and marketed for low-power, low-cost systems that provide the basics in home computing.

According to a recent report by the New York Times, the Round Rock, Texas-based Dell will announce later this week the launch of a new system, targeted at companies that require a solution for web-hosting applications. The innovation with the new system is that it will pack 12 full servers powered by VIA Nano chips, inside a 3.5-inch case.

Samsung i7500 to be renamed Galaxy, released in France in early July

Speaking of Samsung touchscreen handsets, Bouygues Telecom's announced that they expect to ship the company's first Android handset -- the i7500 -- in early July, making it the first carrier to snag it. The French company will rebadge the device, calling it the Galaxy, which is certainly sexier than the numeric moniker. The quad-band GSM, tri-band 7.2Mbps HSDPA (900/1700/2100MHz) handset has a 3.2-inch, 320 x 480 pixel AMOLED touchscreen, WiFi, GPS, a 5 megapixel camera, 8GB of storage with MicroSD expansion for up to 32GB more. We're still expecting this bad boy -- which recently passed through the old FCC -- to make a possible T-Mobile debut this fall.

Wacom Intuos 4 Review

The Wacom Intuos 4
For those working as a professional graphic artist, retoucher or who have used a tablet in any kind in their professional, Wacom would not be a name that you will be unfamiliar with. Its previous flagship product, the Intuos 3, is practically an industry standard with almost all artists swearing by it. With such large shoes to fill, its certainly interesting to see how the latest addition to the manufacturer's Intuos line measures up.

On first glance
Once you take the Intuos out of the box, the first thing you would notice is how sleek the Intuos 4 is.

LG, Samsung have both sold over 20m touchscreen phones

Just a hunch, call us crazy, but these latest numbers from LG and Samsung seem to indicate that touchscreen phones are pretty popular -- both companies have sold over 20 million of 'em. That's somewhere around 1.6 million touchscreens a month for the past two years, and with new Samsung sets like the i7500 and LG's massive array of Windows Mobile devices set to hit this year, we doubt things will slow down anytime soon.

OCZ Technology Neutrino Netbook Review

We know what you're thinking. You're thinking that this is just another netbook by yet another manufacturer trying to ride the wave of popularity -- and at a glance, we'd say you're right. Upon further investigation, however, you'll find that OCZ Technology's Neutrino is actually a horse of a different color, so to speak. Design-wise, it's a perfectly average netbook, and if you check out the basic specifications, you'll see more of what you're used to. But if you read a little further, you'll notice a few key omissions. And unlike most machines, it's what the Neutrino lacks that differentiates it from the pack.

Somehow or another, OCZ has managed to deliver a unique netbook well over a year since the category was formed.

I’m not sure what they’d be clling this but the RAmos T10 was also known as iKiss. We don’t know if this will be anothe 4.3-inch screen or bigger as this hasn’t been announced. Other features you might like: MKV support, 720p TV out and a DaVinci chip set.
