Sapphire Unveils 2GB-Equipped Radeon HD 4890 Vapor-X

Sapphire Technology has showed off a new member of its graphics card line-up in the form of the Radeon HD 4890 Vapor-X. This powerful graphics card is equipped with a 2GB of onboard memory, a 55nm RV790 GPU, a 800 Stream Processor, a dual-slot Vapor-X cooling solution and factory overclocked frequencies – 870 MHz for the GPU and 4200 MHz for the GDDR5 memory.

In addition, it also comes with D-Sub, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. The Radeon HD 4890 Vapor-X is now available for pre-order around Europe for 226 Euro.

iPhone 3GS Launch Was AT&T's Best Sales Day Ever

According to a leaked AT&T internal memo, the iPhone 3GS’ launch day was the carrier’s best of the best days in terms of sales, and you can bet that Apple’s smartphone accounted for a large number of purchases. The record-braking theme of June 19 doesn’t stop as sales though as the day also saw the most transactions being processed via AT&T’s IT systems, the most upgrade eligibility checks, and it was the largest order day, and largest features sales day in att.com history.

While not sharing any exact numbers, AT&T mentions that iPhone 3GS sales on launch day were higher than those of the iPhone 3G on its release day. Overall though, both the 3G and 3GS sold 1 million units in three days so that evens things out.

Dell To Add Wi-Fi Enabled GPS Card Into Its Notebooks

GPS navigation on almost all devices seems a new trend. Are we getting lost with the new tech, or is it for the convenience if we ever do, is difficult to sum up at the moment. Whatever it maybe, Dell with the introduction of a Wi-Fi enabled $69 Wireless 700 GPS Card has made it pretty clear that we need it outright.

Dell will soon embed the Wireless 700 card which combines the Broadcom’s GPS technology and Skyhook Wireless’ Wi-Fi positioning solutions, into all its notebooks. Providing 2D and 3D map viewing and geo-tagging facility, the enhancement will come in handy, let’s wait and see when Dell actually pulls the concept up.

T-Mobile US HTC Touch Pro 2 delayed

Bad news for T-Mobile users waiting for a powerful Windows Mobile Professional phone to finally come to their network. According to TMoNews they have been tipped to a possible delay of the device, all the way to August 12th.

Reasons are not know, but some sites are speculating that it was so the more powerful Touch Pro 2 does not overshadow the low res keyboard-less MyTouch3G.
