VGA to HDMI with Audio Support

This morning Ratocsystem revealed the REX-VGA2DVI-H1, a nice little VGA to DVI and HDMI converter with audio pass-through via USB for HDMI.

Thanks to this nice little dongle you can connect a notebook to a Full HD TV or WUXGA LCD via DVI or HDMI and forward PC audio to a TV through HDMI. Just plug the dongle to a PC via USB or your regular lineout and to have audio on TV.

This product also supports 120Hz LCDs or PDP panel, but unfortunately doesn't support HDCP…

Rogers to sell HTC Dream, Magic for $199.99 on contract

Canadians have had to wait quite a while to get their first official taste of Android, and even longer to know how much it'd cost, but it looks like that last detail has now finally been cleared up. According to The Boy Genius Report, Rogers will be asking the ever popular $199.99 for both the HTC Dream and HTC Magic on a three-year contract when they launch on June 2nd, or a hefty $649.99 off-contract. As Boy Genius points out, that's actually $100 more than the previously rumored off-contract price, which briefly spurred talk of a too-good-to-be-true $149.99 on-contract price.

Entelligence: Time for Microsoft to tell a better Zune tale

Entelligence is a column by technology strategist and author Michael Gartenberg, a man whose desire for a delicious cup of coffee and a quality New York bagel is dwarfed only by his passion for tech. In these articles, he'll explore where our industry is and where it's going -- on both micro and macro levels -- with the unique wit and insight only he can provide.

A lot's been made of the new Zune commercial that Microsoft aired recently. If you have haven't seen it, take a look. Now don't get me wrong. I think there's a lot that Microsoft can do with Zune, but this ad doesn't quite do it for me. What's wrong? First, it took a shot at Apple that felt silly -- after all, most consumers don't spend $30,000 to fill up their iPod (how much did it cost to fill yours?).

Shuttle XVision X50 All-In-One Atom 330 PC Review

Shuttle has long been associated with all things petite ever since it pretty much invented the small form factor (SFF) PC. Indeed, since pioneering its various diminutive and elegant cuboid PC cases it's produced little else. However, with the arrival of the Intel Atom, Shuttle thought it might be time to branch out into other areas.

Enter, then, the Xvision X50. As evident from the above picture it's an all-in-one PC but there are two things to note straight away. One, the screen is touch-sensitive and, two, unlike Shuttle's other SFF PCs, the X50 isn't a barebones system designed for you to pop in your own hardware; this is a fully fledged all-in-one PC that's ready to go straight out of the box.
