Panasonic Viera TX-L32G10B - 32in Freesat LCD TV Review

Just over a month ago I looked at and was reasonably pleased with the first of Panasonic's new G10 range of Freesat LCD TVs, the L37G10. So, hopefully today's smaller model, the TX-L32G10B, will prove to be a chip off the old block. Especially since its 32in size potentially opens it up to the ‘second room' market, where having a built-in Freesat tuner could be very handy indeed. Provided, of course, that you can overcome the inevitable satellite cabling hassles.

Aesthetically the L32G10 can be summed up with a completely non-committal ‘it's OK'. Its finish is just about glossy enough and the arced bottom edge just about shapely enough to give it a dash of panache, but the visual impact could hardly be called dazzling and to me the G10 design didn't engage me as much at this 32in size as it did on the larger 37in model.

The Aspire 3935-6504 has been reviewed by LaptopMag, who comments:

A 13-inch notebook that’s this thin and light typically costs a grand or more, so for $899, the Aspire 3935-6504 represents one heck of a bargain. You get adequate performance for running Vista and a more stylish and svelte design than the entry-level MacBook...

GIGABYTE HD 4770 512MB GDDR5 Graphics Card Review

The frequency of graphics card releases now compared to two years ago is just jaw dropping. There used to be three models; a low, mid and high-end model. And while we still have that base structure today, there are so many models that fit into each category. These days we have high mid range cards and low high end cards amongst the main three categories; the reason for this is because of the amount of power these cards offer.

The latest card to hit the market is the HD 4770 which expands upon the HD 4700 series from ATI. The weird thing is that it's a series that we haven't heard about a whole lot leading up to its release, especially in the new model market. What we've seen from ATI lately are models in the HD 4800 series, HD 4890, HD 4870, HD 4850 and more.

Samsung Instinct s30 Review

Once assumed to be a physically smaller version of the original Instinct (affectionately referred to as the Instinct Mini), the Instinct s30 is actually not an Instinct Nano. Sure, it's trimmed up and a bit more curvaceous, but those accustomed to the original won't notice a great deal of weight loss here. Unlike the original, Sprint's (smartly) not pushing this handset as an iPhone killer; instead, it's letting it be exactly what is it, which is a decent featurephone with a few unique niceties and nothing whatsoever that's mind-blowing. So, is the second iteration of the Instinct worth your time (and by extension, money)? Head on over to Engadget Mobile to find out!

Epson launches next-gen Ensemble HD Home Cinema System

Considering that Epson's highest-end HTIB is nearly two years old now, we'd say an update was definitely in order. Today, the outfit has just taken the wraps off of its next-generation Ensemble HD Home Cinema, which gets updated by way of including the PowerLite Home Cinema 6100 or Home Cinema 6500 UB. As with the prior kit, these two also include a motorized 100-inch screen, integrated surround sound, AV controller with built-in DVD player, universal remote and all virtually components needed for installation. The only thing that's glaringly absent is a Blu-ray player, which -- at this point -- is completely and utterly inexcusable. At any rate, those content with treating themselves to upscaled DVD can fork out $4,999 for the Ensemble HD Home Cinema 720p, $6,499 for the Ensemble HD Home Cinema 6100 and $7,999 for the Ensemble HD Home Cinema 6500 UB.

ATI Radeon HD 4770 512MB Video Card Review

AMD is launching the World's first 40nm graphics card today with the introduction of the ATI Radeon HD 4770. With such a small die size, it means that AMD can fit more dies per wafer and reduce costs. AMD expects that the Radeon HD 4770 should sell for $109 with an available rebate of $10, which brings the final price into the uber sexy sub-$100 category. Usually the sub-$100 category means crappy performance, but with a core clock of 750MHz and 512MB of GDDR5 memory you might want to think twice about that.

The ATI Radeon HD 4770 is marketed as being the fastest graphics card available for under $100 after mail-in-rebate that is still able to play current game titles at decent resolutions. This is made possible since the dual-slot card runs a core clock speed of 750MHz and 800MHz on the 512MB of GDDR5 memory. This is enough horse power to produce a compute power of 960 GFLOPs with a memory bandwidth of 51.2GB/s.
