Apple Nand Chip Order For 32GB Release?

As you probably know by now, Apple placed an order for 100 million NAND chips from Samsung recently. This order included 16Gb memory, as it turns out, though it was initially thought to only include 8Gb chips.

The 16Gb chips allow for 2GB of storage space, so this could point to the imminent release of 32GB iPhones, which would make an appearance sometime this summer. Sure, it’s possible that more 16GB iPhones could be on the way, but that seems unlikely, especially since the company has been working furiously to unload their current inventory.

HP LX195 Media Server

Details are foggy at best, but HP is planning to launch a budget version of their MediaSmart server, at least according to this leaked pic. And based on looks alone, the HP LX195 appears to have a fixed storage capacity via a single drive, 4 USB ports, Ethernet and a power port. While the front of the drive features 3 LED lights and a recessed Server Recovery button. Expect more details to emerge shortly.

Walkman NW-X1000 Series Hands-On From Sony HQ

This morning Sony hold a press conference for the Japanese launch of their much anticipated new Walkman the NW-X1000 Series. Introduced early this year at CES, the X-Series features a nice 3” OLED touchscreen display, with either 16GB or 32GB of internal memory, WiFi (for Youtube video), supports DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine as) and a noise cancellation system. Like most DAPs nowadays, the X-Series is actually a compact PMP in disguise supporting both video and photos.

Insane fans of Prince can worship the musical maestro by purchasing his limited-edition iPod Touch — for the price of $2,100.

Here’s the best part: You don’t gain access to a full library of Prince music. Rather, the purple Prince Opus iPod comes preloaded with a 40-minute concert video and 15 songs from a live soundtrack. Only 950 Prince iPods are available.

Nokia In Talks With ECS Over Netbook?

Nokia’s plans to build a Netbook Or Laptop have been confirmed by the China-based Economic Daily News saying that Taiwanse firm Elite Computer Systems or ECS is currently in talk with the Finnish giant. Nokia and ECS are expected to round up the talks by the end of June 2009. This could well mean that Nokia-tagged Netbooks could appear just in time for Christmas 2009. Nokia is likely to use a non x86 processor - almost certainly an ARM bsed - combined with a Symbian platform.

The company has already committed itself, via its CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, to manufacture (or at list use OEMs) and sell mobile computers by 2011. ODM/OEM Giant Foxconn is also rumoured to be amongst a number of suitors eyeing Nokia’s potentially lucrative netbook orders.
