G13 Gameboard By Logitech

Some of you may not be aware of such a device as a ‘gameboard’. For those uninitiated, a gameboard is a device sitting to one side of your keyboard designed to allow for better gaming through improved ergonomics and extended functionality. This is the sort of extra functionality that could make the difference between the virtual wins and losses in competitive digital gaming. The difference between the pwner and the pwned. Sequenced actions can be triggered with a single and hopefully easy to locate key press. Move and fire at the same time. Drop out of the sky on your enemies and execute complex maneuvers with ease. Sound worthwhile? If you’re a gamer, I can assure you it is. The G13 is Logitech’s latest entry into the gameboard category, and having now played with it for a spell, I can say with some confidence that it’s the most advanced gameboard that I’ve used.

HP TouchSmart TX2

Tablet PCs have been around as long as their notebook PCs counterparts, but they are still not very popular due to its slightly more expensive price tag and the display is more susceptible to damage from the frequent use of finger or pen. However, the tablet PCs are usually being used in specialised industry like medical and education.

Most tablet PCs were running Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, which provided the alternate text input (using Tablet PC input panel) and drivers for tablet PC specific hardware. But with the launch of Vista, the software maker did away with the Tablet PC edition and incorporate the features including the support for MultiTouch functions and gestures in the Vista OS - except Vista Home Basic and Starter editions.

Those who like to take pointing and clicking literally will love this arrow shaped like a mouse. You get my point? It’s a point well taken. It will even get your point across. And point you in the right direction.

That’ll be enough of that. It’s got 800dpi, a scroll wheel, it will probably cripple your hand too. It’s available in red or black. Too bad it isn’t wireless, but it comes with a retractable attached USB cable. The USB Arrow Optical Mouse retails for $12.00.

Nvidia Now Says It Might Make An X86 CPU

Announcements and proclamations by companies are interesting things. To me they are amusing and always taken with a grain of salt. This goes for almost every company.

Today I bring it up because of a comment I read over at Fudzilla about nVidia’s announcement that it would be making an x86 SoC system. They publicly announced this at an investors meeting.

Now they are singing a different tune, saying nVidia might do that if it makes sense. No correct me if I am wrong but aren’t these two opposing comments?
