Nokia’s Comes With Music To Hit Australia On March 20; 5800 Xpressmusic Included

Shortly after unleashing the Comes With Music service in Singapore, Nokia now wants to conquer Australia with it as well.
The Finnish company has just announced that the unlimited music download service is set to debut on March 20 in the Southern hemisphere country.
Even more, Nokia will also launch its 5800 XpressMusic touchscreen handset, thus offering Australian users the chance to have one of the most craved music-oriented devices in the last months (its global sales topped 1 million units since the end of 2008).

Gefen Sends HDMI 33 Feet Via UWB Wireless HDMI Extender

Gefen is now shipping its UWB (ultra wideband) Wireless for HDMI Extender.
The unit, designed for ceiling mounted displays and outside applications, sends HD resolutions (up to 1080p, 24fps) and 5.1 surround sound up to 33 feet (10 meters.)
It has three video inputs (two HDMI, one component) with two-channel audio.
With support for three A/V sources, it also acts as a source switcher between three devices from the same flat-panel TV. The sources are selected by using the IR blaster.

17-Inch Macbook Pro: Mini-Review

If you’re going to spend your day staring at a laptop screen, as I did, it may as well be the new 17-inch MacBook Pro, which arrived in our office bright and early this morning. We’re gearing up to post our full review shortly, but in the meantime check out our hands-on video and first impressions.
Gorgeous Display

Although it has the same sleek, aluminum Unibody design as the 13-inch MacBook and 15-inch MacBook Pro, its 1920 x 1200 display is brighter and more vivid. In fact, Apple says it has a 60-percent greater color gamut than the 15-inch Pro. In a word, it’s stunning. It’s arresting in its own right, but particularly compared to the 15-inch MacBook Pro (whose screen we praised in our review, by the way), it looked brighter, with punchier colors.

Alphacool Rolls Out New Intel Socket CPU Water Blocks

German cooling specialist Alphacool released two new CPU water blocks that boast support for all existing and upcoming Intel sockets, the HF 14 series. Its two members are Livingstone and Yellowstone. While both have an identical retention mechanism design, the block design itself is where the differences lie. The Livingstone uses a bilateral-symmetric design, while for the Yellowstone block, the inlet is positioned in the center, to gush right onto the heat-exchange fins.
