Mini Displayport To HDMI Adapter Coming March 15th For $14.25

Monoprice’s much anticipated Mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter, which will allow users of the unibody MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air (along with any other system that comes equipped with the Mini DisplayPort output) to connect to HDTVs and other displays, has been given a launch date and a price. The adapter will be available on March 15th, priced at just $14.25.Monoprice originally suggested that the adapter cable would be available at around the end of January 2009; there’s no word on what might have caused the delay, but with the price being so low we can’t see too many people holding a grudge. In comparison, Apple’ own Mini DisplayPort to dual-link DVI adapter is priced at $99.99 and, reportedly, doesn’t even work all that well.

Sony Ericsson PSP 2 Concept

Here’s another PSP concept, a so-called “PSP 2?, without having the “Phone” attached to its name, this time… Notice the pretty decent camera at the back and an interesting layout of the keys. This is en ergonomic gadget, although I have the feeling that some of the user’s fingers will be touching the camera’s lens.

Focal-Jmlab Focal XS Multimedia Sound System

Never content to leave well enough alone, we’ve spent a lot of time looking for an audio system that could topple B&W’s mighty Zeppelin off its perch as our favorite iPod sound system. And now we’ve finally found it — in Focal-JMlab’s Focal XS Multimedia Sound System.
The Focal XS is the logical follow-up to Focal’s awesome iCub powered subwoofer, which had a 2.1-channel amplifier but didn’t come with satellite speakers. The new system includes not only a pair of excellent near-field satellites, but also an integrated iPod dock and a USB interface so you can sync your iPod to iTunes, and convert digital audio from your PC’s USB port.

Brando Mini Bluetooth Keyboard Compatible With PS3

Brando have taken the tiny wraps off of their latest Bluetooth keyboard, and it’s definitely been created with portability rather than usability in mind. Measuring just 140 x 70 x 12mm, the Mini Bluetooth Keyboard has a 15m range and uses the Bluetooth 2.0 standard, happily connecting to a laptop, smartphone (with the right Bluetooth profile) or even your PS3.
The 83-key ‘board has all the usual function keys and arrow buttons, though we can’t imagine them being quite as pleasant to type on as a buckled-spring keyboard or even the cheap thing that came with your last budget desktop PC. Still, neither of those would likely fit into your jacket pocket, nor nestle discretely with the remote controls when serving as a PlayStation 3 keyboard.

Sharp Gaming Aquos 32-Inch 1080P TV

This wine-colored Sharp Aquos HDTV is aimed at gamers with a few specific features. Its 32 inches may not satisfy the more home-theater-orientated of you, but maybe its wealth of inputs and the mysterious “Vyper Drive” will make it worth your while.
The LC-32GP3U, or “TV” for the purposes of this review, is part of a drive by Sharp to embrace gamer considerations. The two major additions are the “Vyper Drive,” which purports to reduce lag time between your console and the TV. What I’m thinking it boils down to is a quick display response time and a high rate of polling the inputs. Either way, I certainly didn’t have any problem with the PS3, PS2, or SNES I hooked up to it. Everything appeared snappy, but I wouldn’t say there was a dramatic difference when compared to the monitor I usually use.

JVC Everio GZ-MG330

The JVC Everio GZ-MG330 is all about simple and easy. It’s not much bigger than my fist and packs in a 30 gigabytye hard drive for up to 37 hours of recording in the most compressed mode. This camcorder is so small, that on my way out the door, I’d see it on the table and just toss it in my jacket pocket. I didn’t worry about it getting banged around. It’s sturdy enough to handle it. I might stay out of the mosh pit with it, but otherwise, you’ll probably be fine. The body is entirely plastic, but the innards give it a bit of reassuring heft.

MSI GeForce K9N6PGM2-V Motherboard Review

We paid relatively little attention to MSI motherboards this year, but it’s the third largest manufacturer, which has always offered notable models. However, the company really delayed motherboards on new chipsets this year. Besides, there were some holdbacks with shipments to Russia. Now the situation is getting better, and in our turn we are going to fill the gap. This motherboard looks very unusual with its fanciful heatsink. Judging by its characteristics, it’s designed for practical users who choose a motherboard for an all-purpose home computer. As our constant readers already know, we’ve modified our review format.
