Vertu Ascent TI Ferrari Nero Hands On

Aw man, another one? We guess so! Hot off the Vertu Signature S Design we manhandled yesterday, we’ve moved on to bigger and better things. We’re talking official Ferrari-licensed limited edition goods here, people. The Vertu Ascent Ti has actually been around for a little while, we did a hands on over a year ago, but the handset has been done up in Ferrari garb, and we’ve got the most precious Ti out of the Ferrari Ti family — Nero. Standard Vertu disclaimer applies: this isn’t for the faint of heart, bang-for-your-buck shopper or penny pincher. There is something to be said for the incredible craftsmanship of the this device, we’d really say it’s the finest phone in the world. Literally.

Review: Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 8000

Looking for a new keyboard and mouse combo? Got a bit of spare cash? Look no further, this is the “Ultimate” keyboard and mouse combo set that Microsoft has ever created.

You simply slip the keyboard under the charging port and it’s charging, stick the mouse on top and that’s charging too. It was this sole reason I was interested in this combo combined with the fact it has a backlit keyboard.

Intel To Reveal 8-Core Nehalem-Based Xeon Next Month

Supposedly Intel’s executives will discuss an eight-core, 16-thread Xeon processor based off of 45-nanometer technology at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference in San Francisco next month. Speculation around the chip suggests that it will be Intel’s Nehalem EP processor, a chip designed for dual-socket workstations and servers. The EP, which is scheduled for a release in early 2009, will use Intel’s Quick Path Interconnect, removing all need for a front-side bus and letting more data flow between the processor and the system. It will also feature an integrated memory controller.
