Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T500 Digital Camera Review

If full touchscreen is your thing then you have a growing number of cameras available to you. The Cyber-shot T500 from Sony offers a full touch interface, but can it deliver your photos too?
Coming with a brushed, coloured aluminium front, and a back taken up entirely by the screen, the first thing that strikes you about the T500 is the build quality, which overall, feels reassuringly expensive. The front features a lens cover that slides down, in two segments, which looks neat, but seems to incorporate double the number of moving parts, perhaps not absolutely necessary.

Samsung NC10 Notebook Review

Initially perceived as a bit of a fad, the netbook phenomenon is definitely here to stay. With shelves cluttered up with well over two dozen representatives of the slinky little devices, and with most packing similar specs, it’s been tricky to sort out the wheat from the chaff.
This latest offering from Samsung, the NC10, offers the usual batch of goodness. Packing Windows XP, and the same Atom N270 1.6GHz processor as most netbooks in the range, it’s the 160GB hard drive that helps it stand out in the crowd.

GELID Silent Spirit CPU Cooler Review

This is the first time I have had the pleasure of getting my hands on a GELID cooler. Most likely this is due to GELID being a fledgling company established in 2008, based in Hong Kong with Swiss management. As you know from their knives, the Swiss leave nothing to chance. And this goes for GELID’s products as well. There are features on this cooler that take engineers a lot of time to figure out solutions to, but GELID took the bull by the horns and ran with their ideas and concepts which made it to the fruition of their new cooler. With GELID taking their name based off the word gelidus, Latin for icy or extremely cold, with our testing we shall see if they can stand up to their company name sake.

DFI Lanparty CPU Cooler In The Works

Clunk.org.uk have got hold of some photos of what appears to be a DFI LanParty branded CPU Cooler. The design is something new, featuring 6 heatpipes, effectively acting as 12 and with two independant heatsinks. No details such as pricing or availability accompany the images, but it is believed DFI are in collaboration with Thermalright and as such this could be a joint venture between them. The cooler seems to be held on with a prototype bolt on kit, which one would expect to change before the product reaches retail.

Playstation 3 Firmware Update 2.60 Will Bring New Photo Gallery App, More Divx Support Tomorrow

Perhaps taking a cue from iPhoto’s whiz-bang smart organization features, PS3 firmware 2.60’s biggest add is a new Photo Gallery app that looks like it can sort photos in some interesting ways. The app can detect faces (thought it doesn’t sound like it can spot individuals like iPhoto ‘09 claims), and can organize by whether people are smiling or not, how old the subjects are, colors, landscapes, and that kind of thing. Looks like a typically Sony interface that might be fun, if you make a habit of storing photos on your PS3.

CoolIT Domino A.L.C. CPU Cooler

Overclocking has become so much the norm over the past few years that it has helped kick start the release of a whole new range of products. The task of keeping these super-hot processors cool has evolved dramatically from the days of monstrous heat sinks. While most choices available today are large air cooling heat sinks, there has been steady development of affordable water-cooling solutions as well. Not long ago, only truly brave souls would dare build complex arrangements of pumps, tubes, radiators and cooling blocks for their PC’s. Now, companies like CoolIT have made it simple for anyone to use this type of cooling.
