A new 26-inch energy-efficient HDTV was just added to Westinghouse Digital Electronics’ greenvue line of products in the United States. Model SK-26H640G is a 26-inch HDTV that more than meets the Energy Star 3.0 specification standards. Westinghouse claims it saves 20 percent more power than required by the third iteration of Energy Star requirements for HDTVs. Moreover, compared to the other 26-inch LCD HDTV models by Westinghouse, SK-26H640G consumes 40 percent less electricity. But this isn’t the only model by the company that’s touted as eco-friendly – all LCD HDTVs released this 2009 by Westinghouse meet the Energy Star 3.0 requirements or, like this model, even go beyond them.
