The fight for connected smartphones is on, with Motorola’s intentions on getting back into the game with Android. The Windows Mobile maker has committed to bringing several Android devices to the market this year and early next year, and it looks like Motorola’s efforts will be skinned with a UI called Blur. Much in the same way that HTC has skinned Android with its Sense UI, Motorola’s Blur will offer always-on connectivity and hopefully an easier way for users to interact with Android. The latest rumors have it that Motorola has its eyes set on de-throning the newly released Palm Pre with its internet-connectivity to access information, pulling contact and calendar data over the air from hosted services like Google and from social networks like Facebook.
