Hoping to keep Earth as ‘green’ as possible, AMD partner Sapphire Technology has intensified its enviroment-protecting initiatives and has now introduced paper pulp trays as the inner packaging for a number of its graphics cards. These trays are made from recycled paper materials and can be recycled further, thus keeping material waste to a minimum. For now, the pulp trays are used for the company’s low- to mid-range offer, but the higher-end cards should also get them in the future (when, Sapphire won’t say yet)
Previously Sapphire has introduced outer boxes that are colored with environmentally friendly inks and are completely recyclable, so for a lot of cards, it uses a super-green package. Kudos and can we get an encore?
