MSI has been promoting the N260GTX Lightning and the Military Class graphics card design for some time now, but proof of what they are capable of has only come this week when Greek overclocker hipro5 managed to reach a 1.1 GHz (1100 MHz) GPU frequency with a N260GTX Lightning.
With a little help from a lot of LN2, hipro5 took the 55nm GT200b chip that powers the N260GTX Lightning to the record-breaking 1.1 GHz clock and ran the Aquamark benchmark to show the card could handle the overclock. And it did so MSI can brag with that while hopefully it continues work on some Military Class 40nm cards.
