Intel considers the new Intel Xeon Processor 5500 series as its most important launch within these last 15 years. Intel’s belief is that the Xeon 5500 can lead to better processor-based systems than those based on its older 5400 series. As a promotion for the new processor, Intel launched its data center efficiency challenge open to those working in the IT sector. According to Intel, the contest is for those with “fresh perspectives” on how to make organizations more efficient.
