The two leading vendors of netbook computer systems, Acer and ASUS are expected to enter a new battle, following the much anticipated release of an upcoming ASUS product, the EeeBox PC B208. As stated in previous articles, the new nettop has been designed to combine one of Intel's low-power Atom processors with an integrated ATI Radeon HD 4530 graphics chip, consequently enabling the end-user to take advantage of a small-sized PC that also offers support for playing HD content. The Eee PC B208 could become a competitor for Acer's AspireRevo, which is based on NVIDIA's ION platform.
According to a recent article on French-language Blogeee, said nettop could become available to customers sometime in June this year, providing the market with an alternative to the newly launched AspireRevo.
