XFX, one of NVIDIA’s graphics board partners that have decided to join AMD, since the launch of the HD 4000-series graphics cards, is expected to officially announce its first HD4870X2 video card. This top-of-the line model has already been listed on the website of an online retailer, which could only confirm that XFX will soon be officially announcing the aforementioned card.
According to the specifications currently available, the XFX-branded HD4870X2 graphics card appears to be delivering the same technical specifications as AMD’s reference model, offering a core speed of 750MHz and 2GB of GDDR5 memory, set to work at an impressive 3600MHz. The card comes with support for Microsoft’s DirectX 10.1, has dual-DVI connectivity and a 2 x 256-bit memory interface. All those things combined make up for the highest-performance Radeon graphics card currently available on the market.
